| 858431 | 2010-02-14 20:18:00 | I recently wanted to buy TrackIR5 and trackclip pro. First an e-mail to Ascent. They couldn't supply. I then tried the NZ agent. They have a good web page and seemed promising. So I emailed them, THREE TIMES, and I'm still waiting for a reply. I then e-mailed PCAviator in Melbourne. I had a reply within 10 minutes. I ordered the items. Within 10 minutes I received their acknowledgement and acceptance. Exactly seven days later the items were in my letterbox. Now I receive my credit card bill. The total price including airmail was about $12 dollars cheaper the the advertised NZ price which didn't include delivery. As the total price was about $300 I didn't have to pay duty or GST, which I liked! So in future I'll be looking at Ozy for small purchases. Jack |

| 858432 | 2010-02-14 20:43:00 | I purchased items from USA online stores and ebay/ebay stores considerably cheaper than in NZ. I also found some NZ Trademe sellers (e.g watches, mobile batteries) were buying from ebay to resell on Trademe. | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||

In my case I don't usualy make a warranty claim on cheapish items even if I bought them localy anyway. |

| 858437 | 2010-02-14 22:58:00 | When I was at Uni, I often buy text books from Amazon.com cause with international shipping included, I can still save heaps of money! I also an eBay addict :-) I remember one time that I bought a USB charger for Sony walkman for $5, shipping included. At a local Sony shop, the price was $55! If you often buy stuff overseas like I do, you might like the service provided by www.myus.com which allow you to combined shipping from multiple US stores. |

I brought mobile battery packs from ebay: 2 batteries, desktop charger, and car charger for about $26 total. At the time a battery in NZ were about $40. What helps is trying to find the equivalent mobile/accessory number.; e.g. a NZ X701 Panasonic phone may be re-branded as a X700 phone in the USA. Or a car engine part may be renamed/titled differently in USA. |

As long as GST 12.5% is under $50 after FX you won't be taxed at border. I also get film overseas, I have digital but slide film are great. They are like 3 or 4x here. |
