761032 2009-04-03 18:18:00 I like Monty Python - wife doesn't . (see John Cleese below)
I like "Rising Damp" - my wife hates it .
I like Rumpole of the Bailey - wife dislikes it too .
Dr . Who is a toss up .
John Cleese in ANYTHING is well-liked by both of us, except my wife won't watch "A Fish Called Wanda" or "Third Rock from The Sun" since he was in an episode or two .

It's not just a Brit/Aussie love-hate thing; she also is disgusted with Alfred E . Neuman and W . C . Fields too . Add Mel Brooks in anything for her to hate .

"The Flambards" (http://www . flambards . flyingdreams . org/) is well liked by both of us .

I guess wimmen have prejudices and preferences too . Can't say why, as I am perfectly capable and able to make such decisions for her . :nerd:

What was the name of the Australian series that Paul Hogan was in where he was a "lifesaver" with a Fosters in his hand? That one I liked a lot; very under spoken and dry humor .

I doubt that the 'puritans' who like to complain are corrupted enough to even understand the reference to a beaver.

Had to laugh at the add myself. Kind of looked in disbelief for a while thinking... "are they making a beaver reference?"

Bound to be more squares griping about it though.
Sigh, if you're too old to need 'em, then don't complain about ads that are not for your attention.

There should not be a stigma or secrecy regading sanitary products.

A double standard exists. These same old moaners would not gripe about ads for adult incontinence products... an item much closer to their own needs.

And... 3/4 of internet email can be spam about male potency aids, but a single ad about youngish womens personal products is going too far.
