760800 2009-03-30 23:21:00 10 years.. 100 years.... doesn't make any difference. Scum is scum.

Anyone who can kill someone while out of jail for another act of violence, will never change. I'll pay for the bullet.

Or send them 'round to Deane's place for a cuddle.
They're just misunderstood little darlings.
Right?

Pathetic. There is no good reason for you to make such a remark.

Point to where exactly I have said anything that even vaguely implies that I think violent crime is acceptable.

760802 2009-03-30 23:30:00 I'm sorry.

But it was (mildly) funny.
You seem such an apologist for these animals.

If you insist....

Different threads, but the point is made...

There has always been a link between poverty and crime in any jurisdiction.

What part of being poor makes you go out raping old ladies?
Peterj116 (6762)
760805 2009-03-30 23:38:00 Saying that there is a link between poverty and crime is stating a simple fact - there is a link.

That is not the same as saying that crime is acceptable.

I don't have a simple answer as to why there is a link between poverty and crime - I suspect it is a very complex problem and will not yield a result to a simplistic solution. But I really don't know - and I don't think anybody does.

My "feel good" remarks...?

I don't think the same way as you and draw different conclusions from the same information. Get used to it.

760807 2009-03-30 23:46:00 Poverty can drive people to commit fraud... armed robbery.... sure.
I'll buy that.

Poverty is not a driving force in rape, stabbing people you hate, beating your baby to death or any of the other mongrel behaviour being dragged across our TV screens and courtrooms.
That's just being an animal & when these "people" are let out and commit the same (or worse) crimes, that shows they were just a waste of sperm.

You think Junior Baily whats-his-face is going to end up a contributing citizen?
Some are just beyond help.

Very sad.

760808 2009-03-30 23:47:00 Then the do-gooders can pay for the funeral.

Unfortunately most do gooders work for the government and we know that no one employed by the government is every held responsible for their actions. That's only for private enterprise..

maybe you should re-think your remarks Deane, as you appear to be in the minority here, and you wouldnt want the wrong person to draw different conclusions from them now would you!
