761241 2009-04-20 04:12:00 I see my joining date is 16/12/2004 - and I've been sure it was a bit longer? B*gger. That is the date this forum version went live, so it reflects your new registration on it - not your original joining date. Only one person has a joining date earlier than that ... ;) Jen (38)
761242 2009-04-20 04:12:00 That merely refers to the date we launched the vBulletin version and required everyone to re-sign up at that point - because of legal yadda yadda about agreeing to site terms and conditions. Biggles (121)

Funnily enough, without a word of a lie, although my current join date is obviously altered in the back end, when we did do the switch over to vBulletin, I was the only person to keep my Jive sign up date, purely by accident. We used my log-in to test the sign up procedure for vBulletin and when we zeroed them all out to do the -resign up process my ID/sign up date stayed for reasons we never really figured out.

761244 2009-04-30 01:08:00 I wonder, does the........... could the server just possibly still hold the beta testing posts for vBulletin? There was a lot of insane rubbish posted during that period and was where WFTWE (word for the weekend) first started. When continued on the new Forum, I think it ran for 200 posts without missing a Friday (with the valiant help of Susan B/FoxyMX) when I was out of town. WFTWE No 200 was sent from Dallas Texas, it was a major exercise to get on line there but I managed in the end!

Cheers

text doesnt take up THAT much space, even a long post/thread of over 10000 letters would only be abit less than 10k bytes, a modern hard drive of several hundred giga bytes could hold millions of these posts or more, pictures may be another story but you'd think there would be several large hard drives possibly raid'ed that is at least a few hundred Gig if not terabytes

761249 2009-05-03 03:54:00 Wow, this is a blast from the past (pressf1.co.nz) for me, and the website is still live to boot. Good old Orcon. hosting.

I remember posting quite a bit before that thread so I'm prob a 2002 sign-up.
