762537 2009-04-05 20:36:00 It seems like you can't keep everyone happy - when Telecom keeps its wholesale prices high, people jump up and down about lack of competition. When they drop their prices, people complain about too much competition.

762538 2009-04-05 21:00:00 Last year the telco announced a cut of 23 per cent off the wholesale price of phone and broadband bundles in the Auckland region for any company taking all its business to Telecom Wholesale - taking the wholesale price from $65 per connection per month down to $50.

Another nationwide deal, announced last month, gives companies a 15 per cent discount on wholesale broadband - cutting the $27 rate to $23 - if 90 per cent of their business is taken to Telecom Wholesale.

762539 2009-04-05 21:11:00 Price drops - unbundling. Just another case of Telecom dropping its bundle. ;) R2x1 (4628)
762540 2009-04-05 22:38:00 I know that Telecom are one of the dearest ISPs for broadband and they get a lot of stick over it. However, I am very grateful to them for upgrading our local cabinet to ADSL2. I am with Xnet Fusion and my BB speed has gone up from 3.4 Mbps to as much as 14.5 Mbps some days! Usually averages around 12 Mbps.

Very hard to please all people all the time.

LL :thanks Telecom

762541 2009-04-06 00:46:00 Quite correct.

You can please some of the people all the time and all of the people some of the time but never all the people all of the time.

762545 2009-04-07 10:58:00 But, when it comes to hosing people off, Telecom have got a pretty wide repertoire.
