Are you serious? You think clobbering peaceful citizens with batons when they were doing nothing other than stand there, or forcibly detaining them for hours in a public space for no reason, is a good idea? I hope you never become a politician or a cop! The overwhelming majority of those involved weren't attacking anyone. |

Its a breach of human rights, pure and simple. Next I guess we'll see tanks rolling in ala Tiananmen Square Sigh. Personally, I never did take my two year old into a demonstration or protest. Peaceful or not. I do see that a number of protesters here seem to carry a child with them in NZ. Possibly like Gang members who employ young people to distribute drugs and knowing full well the law enforcement can't do a lot about the situation. We often hear about Human rights but I have never heard about Human resposibilities for some reason. |
