764383 2009-04-12 23:56:00 I just got my car late last year after 12yrs, I don't use it much, just maybe monthly to keep it running and the odd trip out .

I measured via highways, it does 11km per 1L of fuel or 9L for 100km .

2 . 4L V6, automatic .

I think our 1 . 3L Mazda 323 did 6L for 100km in urban roads .

764384 2009-04-13 00:02:00 I'm not sure exactly what the fuel economy is on my vehicle, but I used almost half a tank going from Invercargill to Queenstown & back last night - probably about $40 - $45 worth.

I drive a 2L Mazda Capella auto.

764385 2009-04-13 00:20:00 Being the pedantic Virgo that I am, I keep a record of the fuel I put into my car. Bought the CRV new in 2003, but didn't get the Palm application to record the data until early 2005. Average for the last few years is 11.39L/100km, best is 8.27L/100km.

Peugeot 307 1.6 TDI I drove in Europe a couple of years ago would do 5L/100km at 180km/h (on the Autobahn!). Would do 1300km on one tank of diesel (if you had a really light right foot), but usually was about 900km range...

764386 2009-04-13 00:55:00 Takes 9L to fill the motorbike up, that'll get me a solid 300-320KM every time :)
= 35KM/L

:D

5L for 100km  at 180km/hr? That's a bit little .

764388 2009-04-13 01:21:00 If I were to get another, it might be a 1.3L 2door compact hatch for urban driving. 100% battery or just Diesel or maybe Diesesl Hybrid if one exist if I need one sooner. Nomad (952)
764389 2009-04-13 01:27:00 My 1100 does around 42 mpg got it leaned out on the SU and have hardened exhaust valves. prefect (6291)
764390 2009-04-13 02:21:00 5L for 100km  at 180km/hr? That's a bit little.

Watching the car computer in the dash at 180km/h (no mean feat even on the Autobahn!), the display indicated that the car was using fuel at the rate of 5 litres per 100km.

The Peugeot was twice as efficient as my Honda at nearly twice the speed (but I wouldn't want to even TRY to do 180km/h in a Honda CRV!)

764391 2009-04-13 03:03:00 Think mine does around 17k per L pctek (84)
764392 2009-04-13 03:30:00 Suzuki Baleno1800 wagon. Average over the last 12 months, 7.33 L/100KM, or in real numbers, 38.6 mpg.

Worst was with car full plus roof rack and trailer; it managed to guzzle 8.82l/100km, 32 mpg. Naturally that occurred while fuel prices were at their peak.
