763884 2009-04-10 23:54:00 SWMBO has been thinking:(, about moving:( the TV etc into a corner where there is no TV signal jack.
Does anyone know if there is a system available for sending the HF/VHF signal a short distance as I don't want to run an RF cable over the door.

Cheers
Colin

Alternatively you could just send/receive audio/video but that restricts you to what the other TV/recorder/STB is tuned to :horrified:D, but this looks like it can relay the remote control from you to the other rooms unit

763886 2009-04-11 08:02:00 got carpet? if so there is/was a thin flat coax cable (no not 300ohm ribbon) that can be pushed under the carpet easy enough. (its not good wit the signal but for short runs it should be fine.
tho ive seen a few million dollar houses with sky installs who have the big coax cable snaking under the carpet.........ewwww :(

763887 2009-04-11 11:21:00 Jaycar Cat #AH-1836 might do the trick. it's a 2.4 GHz A/V sender / receiver if you just happen to be wanting to send the signal from a Freeview or Sky set-top box to a TV.
Not much use if you are still using a bird-perch antenna though.
