| 763767 | 2009-04-10 08:21:00 | hi all just chking to see if anyone out there has a cellphone out there that is actually stable with a stylus? the reason is that i got the SE P990 when it first came out at a massive $1400 and in the last couple years the many times the phone has memory problems and flicking calls automatically to answering service AND uselss battery life has me pretty miffed! I like a new one with a stylus amd was thinking of the N95 but have heard that reboots a lot as well - the new N96 seems to have inherited the problem my question is whether anyone out there has a phone with a stylus and maybe a qwerty keyboard that has a decent battery life that doesn't reboot automatically all the time. cheers all |

| 763770 | 2009-04-10 11:17:00 | Good luck is all I can say :( I had best results with an iMate JAM back in the day, but even that was prone to bi-daily reboots at times. Ive had about 6-7 different PocketPC-type devices in the last 3-4 years, all the windows-mobile-based ones crash semi regularly. That said I had a loan-phone for a while, some sort of samsung one that didnt have a touch screen (Used the bottons to pop the start menu etc) and it seemed pretty reliable? My father also had the same issues, his JasJam would require rebooting daily, with hardware failures galore on both ours. I would tell you what Ive switched to now and have no issues with, except it uses your thumb not a stylus ;) |

I have had 3 PDA's over the last 6 years and have never had any of them 'reboot' unless I action it and that would be lucky if it was once every 3 months. Maybe you guys emit some sort of freqency that interferes with your devices :stare: but to have that many devices behave that way is weired. The last 2 devices I have used have been HTC products but all 3 have been windows based. |
