Our little school primarily uses a web based email system. Our problem is that we seem to get a lot of emails that have been forwarded that come in a .msg format that we cannot read. We have tried importing them into Office Outlook or Outlook express but this refuses to open them. I see a lot of 'purchase' first email applications but does anyone know how to open .msg messages or of an application that will. I know we can read them as text only but the messages seem to get lost in all the "other" crap.

You could try saving the message in html format then open in a browser to read it. Or try a viewer/reader as described at file guru (www.fileguru.com) - but may have limited features. |

Outlook should definitely be able to handle them, if they are standard Message files and not something else with the .msg extension. Outlook can use this format when you save an email individually, or forward multiple emails as attachments. |
