Same here .

Clock, VNC Server, Avast, Safely Remove Hardware, Volume, Sygate and PopTray which is there only half the time .

I could get away with having only half that lot there if I were bothered .

763407 2009-04-15 12:38:00 How many do you have?

At work I have 4 - Skype, Outlook, Network and audio (Win XP). At home I have many more... more like 12-15 I think.

For me it's v.v.:sleep

763408 2009-04-16 10:27:00 Disregarding the clock and volume icons, I have only two, my anti-virus and firewall. Nothing more.

Generally when I'm having to de-crappify a friends non-functional / poorly functional computer, one of the first things I look at is all the bullsh in the system tray.

Usually a bit of googling will reveal some to be malware, some to be totally pointless, but all to be using resorces that could be freed up!

I despair when they complain 'my computers going soooo sloooow lately', and I find so much useless excrement being loaded up all the time.

Some people seem to find a long line of icons something to be proud of. Personally, I think it reflects something totally different in them, that nobody should be proud of.
