| 764048 | 2009-04-12 09:46:00 | The economic idiocy of the last 25 years will hurt the ordinary people more than the instigators. 10 million curses on all the right wingers hope they lose all their ill gotten gains in the coming crash. So cool to see their rip-off system crashing around their ears and to hear their squealing. Roger Douglas has been keeping his head so low since becoming an ACT list MP that his ears must be full of soil, maybe he hasn't heard about the crash/recession, the meltdown of Reganomics, Thatchernomics, Rogersownomics and capitalist pundits like ex-Fed Greenspan admitting what dreadful mistakes he made. There was a time when NZ manufacturing made so much of its consumable items, due in part to the import licensing scheme, for good or bad. Some product quality was not all that clever because there was no competition, some was very good indeed, like shoes and clothing and carpets, and good value for money. Other products like imported CKD car industry and TV manufacture were not so clever pricewise, indeed horrifyingly expensive, but at least everyone had a job, and the skill base was impressive. |

If there is too much financial regulation we might as well have a commy system like north korea and cuba. It is deregulation and ditching subsidies that made us a more profitable nation I hated and still do roger douglas not for polices but the fact he was in the labor party. 9 years of labor government here have left us with a cot case economy no wonder fil gof is so low in the polls. Christ the tossers even lost the mega super safe west coast seat where the labor party was formed. God willing there will never be another economy wrecking labor party in power again |
