If you have version 4 of Nod32, there is an option to make a bootable cleaning CD in case a PC wont boot due to infections.

Got today ANOTHER Customers PC, Latest Norton Internet security 2009 :yuck: fully up to date, but riddled with Pop up messages, false security warning, wont boot correctly:

Any way - Thought I'd try the Nod Rescue CD - me thinks the last update may be ever so Slightly Out (www.imagef1.net.nz) - its finding and dumping a few esp in the boot sector

I think Its designed to remove any infections that stop a PC from Booting mainly - if located and removed 7 - Now the PC boots, somewhat slow, but at least its better than what it was - now to do the standard 'repair" Antispyware, remove Norton, Install Trial Nod etc.

ANYONE wanting to make the recovery CD has to download and install the Automated Installation Kit (AIK) available from Microsoft for Free (www.microsoft.com) - but its not to tiny a download.
