765592 2009-04-16 06:19:00 I don't drink tea or coffee, but I have accidentally got myself hooked on Milo, because I was never warned of its addictive nature.
I can't do without my daily fix of about 7 Milos, each cup heaped with Milo powder and made with whole milk powder.
And these people - Nestles - have conned the National Heart Foundation, into giving them their tick of approval.
Milo made the way people like it must be one of the most unhealthy foods around, and I for one can't give it up!
:annoyed:

I Like Milo, but not addicted to it - it's nice for a change sometimes.

765594 2009-04-16 06:41:00 You are getting plenty of nutrients from milo, plus the energy your brain needs to function - much better than being addicted to tobacco, alcohol, or drugs.

As long as you're getting plenty of exercise, your 7 cups should be fine.

765595 2009-04-16 07:07:00 Milo is one of my favourite hot drinks. Good for getting the energy up.

I not allowed to drink any caffeine at all.

765597 2009-04-16 08:59:00 Hi Gary67,
Enjoy your tramping.
Where are you going?
We are lucky in Nelson.
Plenty of tracks.
I have done oodles of tramping in the past.
But am too infirm now, regretfully.

765598 2009-04-16 09:28:00 I'm addicted to gazpacho - cold tomato soup, a Spanish recipe.
SWMBO makes it from tomatoes in our garden and I cannot stop guzzling it until it's finished.
Unfortunately, the tomato season is almost over................

765599 2009-04-16 09:34:00 Another thing..........
My mother in law, I guess she's the uber-SWMBO, made me some simnel cake for Easter and now I'm addicted to that.

765600 2009-04-16 09:40:00 Yes,

The human race has some very nice foods available to it!

Its just that when I was younger I had a much simpler diet,
and I believe I was healthier for it.

765601 2009-04-16 10:01:00 Personally, I think Milo is foul!
It leaves this terrible sludge of insoluble grit at the bottom of the cup.

Feels more like it should be used for shining metal!
