| 860098 | 2010-02-20 06:04:00 | I have a HP desktop with an AM2 Sempron 3400+. The Asus motherboard can take an Athlon64 X2 5000+. Would I notice much difference if I upgraded? Thanks. |

| 860101 | 2010-02-20 23:19:00 | Yes it should give a little boost. Going from a single-core to a dual-core is always a good jump. Make sure you have sufficient RAM for whatever OS you're running as well. Ideally 2GB for XP/Vista/7(32-bit) and 4GB for Vista/7(64-bit). Also make sure your current BIOS will actually allow for the 5000+ before putting it in. |
