| 859910 | 2010-02-19 05:50:00 | I just set up a nice new very speedy PC for my wife with XP Pro & IE8. She uses Outlook Express and has set the dictionary to UK English. She like's to check each email for spelling errors before she sends messages. It doesn't seem to work at all - keeps coming up with the message - THE SPELL-CHECKER ON THIS DOCUMENT HAS BEEN HALTED - DO YOU WANT TO SEND ANYWAY? when you go to send an email. Not only that, but if you highlight a word & press spelling it says: AN ERROR OCCURED WHILE THE SPELLING WAS BEING CHECKED! Do you think this could be because I need to load an English UK dictionary? |

| 859916 | 2010-02-19 08:06:00 | Lots of complaints about OE spell check. It seems that any original spell check is removed when you upgrade MS Office and it often defaults back to French dictionary. There is a free US English dictionary for download. Do a google search for "spell checker for OE" and you'll find several free downloads. e.g. snapfiles.com |
