765690	2009-04-19 23:44:00	Did an online application for a tax refund with www.nztaxrefunds.co.nz on Friday April 3rd (13 days ago), received a automated confirmation email same day, no 'case number' or anything like that, just "thanks for that .. a member of our team will review and respond to you asap .." So on April 13th when I hadn't heard anything I sent them an email asking the story, and tonight, 3 days later, I get a response saying "Hi Troy I had a look in our database and cannot find you on our files. Are you sure you applied with us? Can you please check. Regards *their name*" So I replied saying I am positive I applied with them and also sent them the confirmation email. Am awaiting a reply. Was a bit weary about using a 3rd party for my tax refund but because I'm a student it was only $25 with them and I was simply too lazy to do one myself through IRD. Also, through them it only apparently takes 3 - 5 days. Yea, right. Seems a little weird to me. I did one through "myrefund" and they said they'd send me a $255 tax refund IRD owned me, that was over month ago and they said it would be 5-6 days. **** then ima ring IRD do it through them.
