765476 2009-04-17 01:28:00 What the matter Deane, you never had to slap a hysterical woman before....

Nope

even doctors do it...

No - they do not.

Nothing wrong with an open hand Deane

Extraordinary statement - and quite incorrect.

, oops, I forgot, your 1 of those who thinks child discipline with a hand is abuse....LMAO..

No, I do not think that - nor have I ever suggested that I think that. I agreed with the repeal of s 57 - but I don't think all physical discipline of children is abuse at all.

What is really revealing is that you think that slapping a woman is "discipline" of some sort. Seriously? Do you really think that?

Yeah right!!

No but your use of the comparator implied that.

An open hand is not ok. That you fail to reprehend this is extraordinary.

765480 2009-04-17 01:37:00 Regardless of the circumstances, there is still never any need to physically abuse a woman.

SolMiester, this thread has been reported by multiple people because of your off-key or bad-taste comments.
While its not specifically against the rules, this is still a family forum. I'm not coming down harsh on you because I have nothing better to do with my time, in fact I couldn't care less about this topic of Mr Veitch at all, however other members have found your posts in this thread offensive.

I'd highly recommend toning down the verbalization of your passion for this topic.

Please, keep it friendly people, its a Friday and the last thing I wanna do is start handing out bannings and locking threads.

Yep, he loves to twist things to make his opponent look like a monster.....

But for the record Deane, a slap is not the same as a kick that results in spinal injury.....a man or a woman who steps over the line in a relationship deserves a slap on the cheek.

Actually, I disagree. There is nothing to be gained by resorting to physical violence on another adult, especially women.

Yes, a slap & a kick differ wildly, but regardless, what could cause a situation to degenerate so badly that you absolutely *must* physically abuse somebody in order to attempt to resolve it? That said, would physical abuse actually resolve the situation or just inflame it further?

A slap is certainly not the same as a kick in the back. But both are certainly assault and when they happen in a relationship then it is domestic violence regardless of the gender of the parties. It is against the law. The police, the courts and almost all of society thinks it's not ok.

765485 2009-04-17 02:43:00 The good thing coming from this whole situation is that it looks like Veitch is going to try to stop the papers from making up bullshit, which they do far too much.

there was a time when he did exactly the same.....
he was in the media, making up bullshit, pushing a camara in the face of people.
