But am too infirm now, regretfully. Took step son and his friend to Salisbury Lodge up behind Mt Arthur on the tablelands, was pretty cool 2 Wekas roaming around the hut area, lots of Bellbirds on the walk in, Moreporks in the night real good trip |

I stayed in the old Salisbury hut, before the latest one was built. Must have been about 1975. The Heaphy is great too. It is good to walk it in winter, when it is not so crowded. Tramping is addictive too, if you have got the time. But it is good for you! |

Yes I have been tramping on and off for 20 years all over Europe, Canada and Alaska but never in the lower 49 as Surfer Joe would say of the other states.
