Not many got voted in. My point is that if Maori's have a large proportion of voters and do not vote Maori candidates in it means one of two things. They did not think the candidates were suitable. They did not bother to vote And if there were lots of Maori's on the Auckland Supercity, there would no progress and endless hui's and karakia's (prayers) Regards Digby So its up to them. |

I fail to see how colour of skin/race/gender etc gives people privledges over other people because they were born. This country is so mixed with different races does it even know who it is? |

My opinion being, do it the usual way and get voted on... or give them the 3 seats, but then also give Asians 4 seats, Pacific Islanders 3 seats, etc etc; as a fair representation of the ethnicities in Auckland. Oh - so it was a troll then. Or have you actually looked up the statistics? |
