Only need 2 (1 sleeping other watch on stop on) men with M16s and just fill the pirates with .223" size holes. I heard something similar talked about on radio although I doubt that the suggester was thinking of just 2. The answer was the cost of helicoptering armed groups onto and off the hundreds of merchant ships involved. Apparently armed ships aren't permitted in most of the civilian ports in the area. There are security firms doing this now. Insurance companies are undecided, as zqwerty says it can be risky. |

Most Republican wing nuts listen to this guy, who (I have been told) has the most popular radio talk show in the USA. He incites hatred, racism and imho is one of the most dangerous 'leaders' in the USA. |

| 765229 | 2009-04-16 01:17:00 | As I have said a few times over, I am a-political and even though my father is a retired Warrant Officer from the Navy, I am not of the same bent . For consideration: My dad just recently expressed his intense displeasure and (now) outright contempt for "his country" which has let him down and trampled all over what he sincerely believed was right, just and the correct thing to do . At his age now (born in 1919) he has had it with his gummermint and politics and just wants to die . It took him a long time to figger that the gvt is out for itself and didn't really factor him in at all . For the life of me, I cannot find any one world government that works, worked or is working, no matter how insightful and concerned it may appear . |

| 765230 | 2009-04-16 02:26:00 | Or we could look at the cause of the problem and try to fix that, rather than just blaming them and wanting to shoot them for being pirates. en.wikipedia.org If you get a flat tyre, do you just continue putting air into it or do you fix the gaping hole? |

| 765232 | 2009-04-16 03:42:00 | Since when has there been a problem shooting pirates? We agree on this solution,I like the .223,very accurate. Joe mentioned his dad was born in 1919,as apposed to him being 90,I hope that helps if he was unsure!. |
