The whole point is as per that article the site hosts "torrent" links to TV, film and music files held on its users' computers. So what the music /movies companies are saying is TPB are providing a means to get pirated material, and thats where the "confusion" is. Bit like saying if you go and buy a car, then go nuts running people over - hardly the Car Dealers fault. |

Agree - and Google does exactly the same thing, hosts links to copyrighted material, so the ruling actually should logically lead to the prosecution of Google as well. |

| 765998 | 2009-04-18 00:09:00 | I suppose that technically in law, to (knowingly) provide the means to break the law is to Aid and Abet. This was probably the basis of the case for the prosecucutor. We will have to see how the appeal results. |
