| 765115 | 2009-04-14 22:02:00 | www.stuff.co.nz Guy in 4WD was hit by unlicensed girl driver in Toyota, who had the passengers. She has a broken neck, unknown but serious injuries to guy in 4WD who I know - although not well. Young (16) guy from next door was over when we heard the sirens go off. He was telling me he had been drifting while on holiday and mashed his front bumper into a bank. He also said his mum was not shitty because of that, but because of the speeding ticket he got yesterday too. He was planning on selling this current car to buy a Subuaru of some kind. I pointed out it was unsurprising his mum was not too happy as she probably was keen on him living a while yet. Later that night, my husband rang to check if he was OK (after the news before he knew who it was, he hadn't been here when young guy had come over) and I arrived back home to hear a rather loud fight happening over there. You can tell them but the young ones never listen.......... |

| 765117 | 2009-04-14 22:53:00 | a freind of mine in invercargill has a scanner and was keeping tabs on what was happening he said that a 19 year old male had also died - now this is not good as when i was trying to find out more about this mum got a text from hew friends saying that it was a good friend of mine that was the 19 year old - i really hope this isint true but i cant find any more info or get hold of anyone to make sence of this i really hope it wasnt him in the crash aye :( |

A friend of mine in Edendale with a scanner and a relative on the fire service, said 2 dead and the 2 young ones in hospital. Maybe thats changed since last night though. I shall ask next door today, she usually knows everything. Hope it wasn't your friend - go speak to them all now and remind them how short life is. |

| 765120 | 2009-04-14 23:31:00 | That would be the good life be on the dole and sit at home with a scanner sticky beaking the police and fire frequencies. i dont see how that comes into this? the friend of mine that has the scanner had actually just got home from work and when he does get home he puts on the scanner and listens to it while preparing dinner with his wife - he heard the incident at wyndham and since he knew i lived out that way he asked if i knew anything - thats when i started to try and find out what actually happened and who was involved still unsure how a "dole bludger" could get a scanner anyway - they are pricey enough from what ive seen still cant get any info on names and i cant make any other sence other than whats in the stuff article |

He was drunk and drove on the wrong side of the road and hit them head on. The saddest thing is he had just finished drinking with the father of the guy he killed before it happened. |
