860541 2010-02-22 06:07:00 My comp can be doing nothing, on the desktop then a webpage pops up, usually the page has internet explorer at the end. How can I stop this random access. I always use Mozilla. Also since I had an upgrade (2 weeks ago) I can not see the little 2 tv's at the bottom right of the screen. I would like these back. gradebdan (2186)
860542 2010-02-22 06:14:00 the two little tvs are pc screens. Meaning your computer talking to something else. They also tell you receiving or sending. Thats an easy fix. XP: Start menu, Control Panel, Network connections, Right click your adapter and select properties, then tick the box that says show when connected. Vista: Start menu, Control Panel, Network and Sharing Center, (Left hand side) Manage network connections, Right click your adapter and select properties, then tick the box that says show when connected. nedkelly (9059)
860543 2010-02-22 07:00:00 What webpage?

Mostly likely malware caused - what antivirus do you have?

And post a HijackThis log.

860545 2010-02-22 07:39:00 Two anti virus programs they will be fighting against each other remove Avast as it's not as good as MSE gary67 (56)
860546 2010-02-22 09:54:00 Like Blam said, this is almost certainly caused by malware. If I had to guess, the sites that pop up will be enticing you into gambling or other sites wanting your money?

Get scanning asap.

This will not be helping you still will need to ditch one of the AV's

860548 2010-02-22 20:54:00 I deleted Avast, rebooted, ran MSE, full scan. Whilst MSE was scanning a window poped up relating to "male health" so I then disabled the internet connection. At the end of the scan-: "No items detected"??? gradebdan (2186)
860549 2010-02-22 21:01:00 Download Malware Bytes and try that.

(The free version)

Update -> Scan.
