www.trademe.co.nz

they are still selling them, but i can't find out whether the system has an epg, and yes i am that budget, i just have a plain old CRT TV so I was thinking this should be fine, although having EPG would be fine.

767244 2009-04-22 07:21:00 I imagine it would have an EPG, but it wouldn't have a system like this, (www.mythtv.co.nz) as it's not freeview approved. davidmmac (4619)
767245 2009-04-22 08:54:00 We have one of these (www.trademe.co.nz) works fine and you can plug in any USB flash drive to use with the PVR function and also watch any movies that are in AVI format. It also has EPG and is very easy to set up if you already have a dish. I swapped ours over from our sky dish in about 15mins gary67 (56)

+1 for that device :)

Used it a beach house we stayed at - if only I'd brought along my flash drive :annoyed:

At home though we have one of these (www.freeviewnz.tv) - it works fine (even though we only have a standard CRT TV), guide is very easy to use. Got it through fly buys :)

@Csinclair - what does the epg look like - is it just a text thing and how many days ahead does it show
