767426 2009-04-25 05:43:00 Talking about oysters. When I was a kid a dozen oysters and chips use to cost about 10 shillings or $1 in modern talk or round about that, could of been cheaper.

Some kids when I went to school had sandwiches with butter and hundreds of thousands on.

Mother just got back from trip deep down south with a pottle of fresh Bluff oysters. As a kid we used to have raw oysters with vinegar :D

Personally I eat Bluff Oysters raw. Any other Oysters I am inclined to toward Oysters Kilpatrick.

Anyone tried Mutton Birds yet? Do not put them on a BBQ!

It is a beef extract on which you pour boiling water AIRI.

Much like a cup of soup.

You can put a couple of teaspoons of Marmite/Vegemite in a cup and pour boiling water in to get a similar result.
