| 767416 | 2009-04-23 01:33:00 | This is going to sound sad..... I have an entire section of the fridge dedicated to mustard, I pick them up from all over the country, Some from the supermarkets, some from deli's,some from farmers markets etc etc, They all get the cheese and toast treatment, and sometimes I go all out and buy a large jar of pickled onions and go crazy....... Are you pregnant? Ken :):) |

Banana and Jam go together like peas in a pod.. though I perfer raspberry jam over strawberry, gives the banana taste more of a kick :banana:banana |

I remember opening a sack of them each year when the first truckloads came up to Dunedin. Sitting opening them over MANY beers and eating a lot as we went. Even though I am now In Auckland I always make sure I get a few dozen each year. |

Toast on Sunday mornings with Fresh mum made strawberry jam with cheese sliced on top. We used to get our cheese in 10Kb blocks direct from the cheese factory. We would also cut off slices of cheese off the block about half inch thick and spread a layer of jam on (fresh raspberry or strawberry). Yum. Cold mashed potato sandwiches, left over mince sandwiches, beetroot sandwiches were all popular when I was young. My cousin used to have Sweet Condensed Milk and Chocolate Chip sandwiches for lunch each day. I never liked that one much. Another had Potato Crisps and Vegemite sandwiches, they were not so bad. |

Used to get them heaps It is about 30+ years ago we used to get the Sacks of them. The company that used to bring them up to Dunedin Spencer something, we used to know the drivers well but it is a long time ago. They had sort of Orange or Red trucks, they used to stack on a few extra sacks each trip and drop one off for a crate of beer at Allanton for us in the early hours of the morning. They still taste great Myth, you should get some:-) |
