When we had some scum in the area (Their lifestyle and housing paid for by the government) pretty much every house within 500m of the mob house was ripped off, Those that had stickers advising the place was alarmed all escaped any attempt at breaking and entering. |

| 766922 | 2009-04-22 00:35:00 | When I got burgled a while back and my MP3 player nicked, the kids who did it obviously thought my "monitored alarm" signs were fakes, since they couldn't see sensors when looking through the rear windows. They discovered their mistake once in the house of course, which is why they only got away with the MP3 player in their panicked hurry to get the heck out of dodge while the alarm assaulted their ears. Silly muppets failed to work out how to open the front door (as evidenced by stuff they dropped there), walked past 2 other doors they could have opened to exit and ended up going back out through the broken window they came in, risking serious injury in the process (it really was jagged). I do wish I'd had a video system to record their efforts. I feel it would have made a great YouTube hit. Still, goes to show you can't rely on the common sense of burglars ... |

Burglars casing the place pretending to be tradespeople if questioned, but not actual trades guys who do whatever work, then burgle you. Why would we? We make enough doing our trades....... |

| 766925 | 2009-04-22 01:23:00 | I installed some motion detectors in my new house that has cameras etc. Its kinda cool as I did have an attempt, some bozo tried to break in during the day, I was up in the attic and as soon as he triggered the detector it showed up on my pc and phone.I went and had a look. The fright he got when he saw me was priceless. The police said they have been after this guy for awhile. Spose it doesnt help much when they cant catch him. |

| 766928 | 2009-04-22 01:30:00 | Im using Insight. Quite a tedious set up but i managed to get some old detectors through work and the house came with a couple of cameras, so i just connected them together. But the insight software is a nuisance. But mates rates was all i could afford lol | rob_on_guitar (4196) | ||
