It's a form of validation/verification of your email with your paypal account. Might pay to add more than one email address (in case your primary one is not working on the day of purchases), and another home address, if you want items sent elsewhere. PayPal owned by ebay, is used heavily on ebay - I found it easy to purchase on ebay as there is a direct link between both sites. Many yrs ago, when I got mine, I used a CC and they billed $1US and on the Statement or Internet Banking it had my security activiation number on it that I used online to verify myself. The $1US is credited on my Paypal account so it is not a refund as per say that you don't get $1US back into your NZ bank account. |
