767175 2009-04-22 09:35:00 I was looking for this before - sorry but only just got back - download the Free CD recovery Toolbox (download.cnet.com) - load it and point it will look at the DVD you have the data burnt to - it may be able to extract it back off and save to a folder - saving having to download again. For Example (www.imagef1.net.nz) here is the contents of a Vista DVD.

IF it manages to extract the Data OK - please advice as to what format it has recovered - either a single ISO file or folders/files Etc, that way advice can be given as to how to burn it as a ( hopefully) working DVD.

767176 2009-04-22 09:44:00 Nah, Wainui, it does not even see the DVD. B*gger. OK back to D/L again.

767177 2009-04-22 09:49:00 Hmmm thats odd - can you try something please - just to make sure, - put in a working DVD of anything ( doesn't matter what) - see if that program will see its contents.

I've had some very badly damaged CD's in the past and thats found something 99% of the time.

767178 2009-04-22 11:56:00 Where's the file and how big? Maybe me or someone else can try it... Agent_24 (57)
767179 2009-04-22 16:18:00 Let me get it for you - I have no cap and I use DSL.

I can mail it to you post haste.

Give me a URL and I'll go for it for you. Let me know.

767180 2009-04-22 20:46:00 Wainui, yup, it reads other CD's and DVD's - I listened to my nice new CD last night after posting on this thread.

Thanks for all the offers guys, but I'm already busy D/L'ing the file again - and this morning it sat on 35% so no problem.

767181 2009-04-22 20:54:00 As you may have guessed the test was just to make sure everything was working as it should.

Once you finish the download - Dont delete it until the finished DVD plays as it should.

767182 2009-04-22 23:48:00 Daemon Tools lite shows nada.

It shouldn't show anything. It's not a file recovery program.

Why not try an undelete program before DLing it again?

767183 2009-04-23 02:24:00 Geekster, I've tried 2 or 3 undelete programs but they could not "see" the deleted ISO as well. Saw a massive amount of other stuff deleted out of the Recycle Bin but not that one. I think it was one of those that has been too big to send to the bin, and you had to delete it directly.
