I believe credit card companies charge companies 2.5-3.5% on the payment , so unless you are getting at least 2.5% discount for paying by direct credit, they will be making a profit on the direct credit payment. It is a pretty small saving, considering the risk involved, think of paying by CC as payment insurance. Nobody know the financial state of any computer shop, apart from the shop itself. If I was paying cash in todays economy, I would use a escrow, such as safe trader if the amount was over $500. |
