| 766348 | 2009-04-19 11:08:00 | I know a guy who was painting a trailer in his garage and got some of the evil concoction into his lungs, don't know if it was the isocynate mentioned above, he was just minutes from death and still looked like it weeks later. Seriously now, I watched the races and noticed that the manufacturers badge on Whincups car had been changed into a picture of a monkey. A bit of fun no doubt by the team. However, for someone like me who is an occasional viewer of V8 racing, it was an hour or so later before I heard on steam radio that Whincup was driving a Ford. Not a lot of difference in looks between the two cars. My experience probably not what Ford would like with all the money they must pour into the advertising??? Ken |

| 766353 | 2009-04-19 22:55:00 | im not covering up a piece of crap, its my pride and joy. many many hours of work has gone into it mechanically and now i just want to finish it off get pros to do it. however a big thing is the prep work. you can save some $$ by being very fussy on the basics. watch when useing filler and undercoat. it soaks up mostuire so needs to be painted soon after. if any welding etc done on it may need to be cheacked before its painted. talk to the pro's first. single pack paint is a lot cheaper than 2 pack. just watch the cost, i know of plenty who spent more on the paint than what the car was worth. 12months later they where bored with it and sold it for the cost of the paint job. |

Or in the case of one of my brothers, after he installed a massive body kit and painted his ****** car with light changing paint he discovered he hated the final outcome, parked it in his shed and there it sits to this day. Can't handle selling it and taking the massive loss caused by the paint job,and refuses to drive it. |
