Especially considering the prognosis with most MNDs is 3 - 5 years from diagnosis to death. Having said that, things like a chest infection can take you out real fast with MND, MS or HD - and I would think that he is at high risk of aspirating food or saliva as his swallowing mechanisms must be compromised. What they are calling a chest infection might be aspiration pneumonia. |
