767376 2009-04-22 09:04:00 Inspired by that other thread.:o

What combination of foods do you eat that no one else seems to mix.

So far we have had Bletch who mixes Vegemite into porridge.:waughh::waughh::waughh: He's a clever guy so I presume it must be all right...on some level.

Anyhow, I can't think of anything to radical though my addiction to mustard and cheese on toast has been mentioned once or twice.

And I used to pig out on jam and cream on bread, I think I got that habit as a child as we may have been to poor for real cakes......

Try it - wash lettuce and tear it into pieces. Then in a wok or frypan, heat some oil with a couple of cloves of garlic, and a bit of bacon if you like. When the garlic is brownish, take it out and discard. Then, chuck in the lettuce, and quickly fry until the lettuce is wilted down but not mushy. It brings out a slightly sweet flavour in the lettuce, while retaining the fresh taste.

I done a google, It seems billions of people fry lettuce.

Its on the list of things to try, and come to think of it I have probably eaten it before.

I prefer my cabbage lightly fried.
