| 861422 | 2010-02-25 00:29:00 | I'm in the process of teaching some SeniorNet people about XP. Today I was trying to show them how they could change the size of desktop icons and the spacing etc. (Quite useful when you are getting a bit older and no longer have eagle eyesight.) A few strange things occurred. Sometimes when they changed a setting and clicked apply the desktop changed, and sometimes it didn't. I found by experiment that some settings only seemed to be applied after a reboot. I think it was getting in a twist if one tried to go past the apparent maxima (e.g. 72 for icon size) and typed in 128 (say). Does anyone know or can point me to the rules for all this? |
