861122 2010-02-24 00:31:00 As per the linked site above
Your computer has hardware or software problems (hardware failure is the most common cause). No kidding, only two things do go wrong, software or hardware.

Last 7F error I worked on it was faulty RAM.

Download memtest (www.memtest86.com) - burn the ISO image with ISO burning software, boot from that CD, if the memory is bad, it will show up in red - replace the damaged Memory.

861123 2010-02-24 01:38:00 BSOD are always either Hardware API drivers corrupted, wrong or RAM.....period...there is perhaps 1% change is is software program related..... SolMiester (139)
861124 2010-02-24 03:10:00 really? 1%? that low huh?

861125 2010-02-24 03:18:00 Does it show the name of a file or driver on this BSOD?

Is Nortons anything on it? That can cause this stop error. Will it boot into safe mode?

861126 2010-02-25 05:14:00 no, i think it just says 7f error.

i'm running commodo + antivir. is that good? or should i uninstall one of them?

and yes i can boot into safe mode.

861127 2010-02-25 05:20:00 * Your computer has hardware or software problems (hardware failure is the most common cause) .
* You try to over clock the speed of your computer's processor (for example, you set a 150 MhZ processor to run at 187 MhZ) .

The above STOP error means a trap occurred in kernel mode and the trap is either one the kernel is not allowed to have or is always fatal . The most common causes of a STOP 0x7F are:

* Low-level hardware corruption, such as corrupt memory (RAM)
* Mismatched memory modules
* A malfunctioning motherboard

To determine an approximate cause, examine the parameters at the top of the STOP screen:
**STOP 0x0000007F (0x000000XX, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

Start by testing your RAM .

861128 2010-02-25 05:33:00 Post a hijackthis log in safe mode / networking. If its crashing when youre only playing audio or video, it could be an codec or something. WHAT are you using to play audio or video? Speedy Gonzales (78)
861129 2010-02-25 06:08:00 I've recently uninstalled my sound card thinking that was the cause of my problem, and went back to onboard mobo sound.

I think it's called realtek hd audio....

now whether or not this is the cause i don't know, but will post hijack log later.
