768346 2009-04-25 21:45:00 There doesn't seem to be a lot of information about this "network of the future"
Why is it so good? bet the fees are still high and the help desk pathetic.

On their website (http://testdrive.co.nz/) there isn't very much info at all either :(.

The fee's probably are still high, and the help desk still is probably pathetic (and overseas). Personally I'm on vodafone, but my phones speaker has just died and I am considering the options.

768347 2009-04-25 23:34:00 Going by the ad, I would say the new network is going to be the fastest. Rob99 (151)
768348 2009-04-25 23:37:00 You must live a sheltered life as everyone on any tech group new by Thursday that XT was Telecom

  THIS is the only tech group I frequent, so if it wasn't referenced here, I missed out. If you can call it that....

768349 2009-04-26 08:56:00 And Richard has never been a test pilot like the ad makes out.
You expect reality from Telecom?
They may have shocking ethics, but they are not going so far out on a limb as to shock the peasants with honesty.

768350 2009-04-26 14:19:00 Might be time to sell my Telecom shares and take the $500 loss before they do something even stupider :( george12 (7)

I see you've already bought into the marketing hype. I saw nothing in the ad to indicate that it is going to be the fastest, or anything in fact....

I have a harbour bridge for sale, only used by one little old city, if you want one.

The XT network is the way of the future, because they've built it and your stuck with it for at least the near future....

I wouldn't sell up your shares yet, there are a lot of people out there that don't understand technical stuff; just as long as its shinny and new and they will buy into all that advertising hype.

768353 2009-04-26 23:35:00 its just going to be a wcdma network, same as vodaphone has.

I cant see how it can be faster....

ps. how long is the bridge, and do I have to take the harbour too. This is probally going to come down to a cost thing so how much do you want for it and can you deliver.

768355 2009-04-26 23:58:00 It's nice to see telecon moving on from the smoking wreck that is CDMA. I just hope they don't 'customize' the new GSM phones to the same extent that they do now. ubergeek85 (131)
