| 770314 | 2009-05-02 04:00:00 | Hi there - I'm trying to track down either of these games but can't seem to find them anywhere (to download or buy). I know you can download some of them as abandaware but they don't have the sound files with them and are only 11mb's big. Does anyone have either or both of these on CD??? |

| 770315 | 2009-05-03 21:41:00 | Chaances are they do indeed have their sound files there, but these are old, old DOS games, which were always a swine to configure regarding sound, and Windows only complicates that even further. There is an application, a bit like a DOS emmulator specifically for playing these retro games. Can't recall the name of the one recommended, but I know for instance that Steam (www.steampowered.com) uses one such emmulator for the oldies it is peddling. Maybe try your luck searching for a DOS emmulator. I do have Day of the Tentacle somewhere. It'll be going corrupt on some old 5.5 inch floppy disc. Don't even have the necessary hardware to read them anymore... which is a shame in a way. |
