2009-04-30 22:49:00 | The takeaway shop owner who wrestled a gun off an armed robber, and shot the offender after first firing a warning shot, is unlikely to be charged. www.nzherald.co.nz tvnz.co.nz A good day for the right of self defence.

2009-05-01 00:01:00 | The law needs changing so the police can say straight away there will be no charges laid and that the guy is a hero. | prefect (6291) | |
2009-05-01 01:08:00 | If there had been any common sense they would never have even contemplated charging him. It had me right riled up when I first heard about it. | mikebartnz (21) | |
2009-05-01 02:03:00 | Its time the cops stopped telling everyone not to fight back, That stance has not worked, Criminal scum exploit it to do as they please (who would have thought?) And the scum have merely esculated their behavior to the point of executing shop owners. To charge people for defending themselves, Their families and their property is disgusting. The public should be advised to bat attack any piece of scum that is trespassing. That'll **** em.

Sure, there's a public safety issue, but there's also the issue of letting these human parasites get away to continue the same offences over and over again. Mind you, with so much attention to being PC these days, it's a wonder the cops aren't told to withdraw if the crims use foul language. |
