863328 2010-03-03 01:02:00 Hi i have a laptop which has s cable out port and a tv which has s cable input but i cant get it to work

Do i need to change any settings in my laptop to play videos off my video player in my lapttop direct to the tv and or any settings to play videos stored in windows media player direct to the tv

will it play all dvds that my computer wil play on the tv or does it depend on the type of video as to wether the tv will play it

i am running xp profesional and have 1.5 gb of ram in laptop with plenty of storage

thanks
peter

863331 2010-03-03 01:22:00 this suggests function and f5 for a Toshiba, perhaps someone with one can confirm?

863333 2010-03-03 01:40:00 Do you mean s-video out port on the laptop?
I don't think function-F5 will put it out to the s-video port, you need to go into the video card settings/advanced and find the output settings there (from memory).
You could try the 'projector' button on the Tosh (by teh power button) but again i don't think that will send your video signal via s-video.
