| 863056 | 2010-03-02 05:10:00 | I have a new laptop that I'm setting up for work and had the choice when starting it up of Win 7 Home premium 32 or 64 bit. I went with 64bit which it's installed however I have one program I need to use that uses a single wire USB device and the 32bit driver is not supported. I've created the backup disks for the laptop ( Toshiba ), can I reinstall the OS and choose the 32Bit version or does Wainui's link to the XP compatibility solve this problem? The program runs fine, it's a hardware issue and I need to be able to install this USB device. |

| 863058 | 2010-03-02 08:24:00 | Yep single wire USB device Install disk for the program only has a 32 Bit version. Win 7 64Bit spits the dummy at the supplied driver. |

| 863062 | 2010-03-03 00:10:00 | Sometimes In XP Mode, not all USB devices will auto detect, you may need to click on the drop down box up top (USB) and locate the device, then it will install drivers, or ask for them. Other times you have to share a USB device (via W7) then it will pick it up as well. |

| 863064 | 2010-03-03 09:28:00 | Update Tried it with a 64Bit driver last night ( from the same co that makes the 32bit driver ) - No go. Tried an install on Win 7 32 Bit and it saw the hardware but it still didn't work. Also tried to fool it by dropping the XP/Vista drivers in over the top and it still wouldn't detect. Seems the problem runs deeper in Win7 as it works fine under XP & Vista |
