- A pizza stone
- A good dough recipe made with strong flour (at least 12% protein for lots of gluten development)
- Quality toppings

You can either heat the stone for a good 30 minutes at 220c, or whack it on the BBQ with all the burners on high, and the hood down.

I'll post my dough recipe if anyone wants it?

If you are in Auckland, Bosco Verde in Manukau Rd Epsom is the place to go for authentic Italian cuisine.:drool There is no comparison with any other pizza maker. They stand out in a class of their own. For those of us who like decent pizza, the likes of Pizza Hut:yuck: just do not make the grade.

771198 2009-05-06 07:08:00 best pizza down here is Da VInci's

southland only as far as i know so nyaaaa! :p

they actually use meat on their meat lovers pizzas! *Shock horror*

Da-Vincis is alright (and I go there on occasion because the owner is a family friend, but that is probably true for half of Southland) but I prefer Hell's Avocado Chicken Pizza. All Hell's pizzas are a bit greasy, but they taste good :)

The best pizza I have ever had was an italian style pizza made by an aussie on the west coast (Westport I think)

....and a smidgin of thinly sliced tomato. Lots of ground pepper and salt.

Ken

(Smidgin, for the technically minded as just a little more than a "gnats whisker/tit")

These kept me alive when I was surviving harsh Dunedin winters at high school!!

So long as the 7th formers didn't push through to the head of the tuck shop queue and get them all first!! :(

771205 2009-05-07 02:44:00 Pizza hut use to taste really good before it became a takeout store.

I always loved the restaurant. The pizza there tasted really good but now none of them taste any good. Hell pizza is the best out of all of them but still
I would prefer to go to a restaurant where they actually cook the pizza using the proper way
