770892 2009-05-04 23:30:00 I bought a F&P Microcycle dishwasher about..er..um 20+ years ago, still going strong, used every day, the only repair was to replace a cold water solenoid valve about 10? years ago. Terry Porritt (14)
770893 2009-05-04 23:48:00 We have a 2 year old f&p, I can vouch for it being one of the worst. Also have a f&p self cleaning stove, this is also hopeless.

I will never use this brand again.

770894 2009-05-05 01:15:00 Our ASEA dishwasher gave good service for over 15 years but was replaced with a Dish Drawer last year during a kitchen upgrade. I read about the problems mentioned with the Dish Drawer before buying and am hoping ours doesn't develop any faults.

The ASEA had the odd hiccup, like water not draining out and door sensors getting stuck but nothing that Handy Hubby couldn't fix.

I have never owned a F&P Dishwasher, but had a F&P ceramic Cooktop and Oven, got rid of both they were hopeless, switched to Smeg Gas cooktop which is ok and Smeg Self Cleaning Oven which is brilliant. Also a Smeg Convection microwave but never use the convection bit.

I put the cast iron things off the cooktop in the oven for self cleaning and they also came out spotless except a bit of a patchy grey colour.

A quick wipe over the sides and bottom and the oven is spotless.

We have a F&P Dryer it is out second one in 25 years. I think it might be the only F&P appliance I would ever own.

770896 2009-05-05 20:47:00 F&P Dishwasher (came with the house), 3 repairs in 7 years. On it's last legs. Will probably be replaced soon with the manual model (me).
