770882 2009-05-04 11:19:00 Ours is a sink, Manual operation, Performance tends to depend on the operator. Seems to be extremely quiet, Can't hear a thing from the lounge.
You must have her well trained there Metla.

770885 2009-05-04 11:43:00 It was number one on the list of "Important features" when we were house hunting.

Nothing worse then hearing all the kitchen goings-on when I'm trying to relax. And I try and relax as often as possible.

I'm finding the model I have here occasionally takes a few days to get started. Though now that my dishwasher has found employment outside the house I guess we will have to use the alternative dishwasher.

The alternative dishwasher is stuck in a dilemma, hates giving up his free-time, yet hates seeing dishes stacked up.

Guess its only a few years though, and plan C (child) will be ready for dishes :D

770887 2009-05-04 20:48:00 Might be a newer model than I have experienced. I think Simpson is now owned by F&P.

No it isn't.

I have one. 6 yrs old. Might be noisy, I dunno, I start it and disappear into another room.

My mum has a Dishdrawer about 3 yrs old and its had 2 repairs already.

770888 2009-05-04 20:49:00 I swear by Westinghouse, part of the Electrolux Group. Very quite, very efficient and super quiet. SWMBO says its much better than me, .......oh well there's the rub! Bryan (147)
770889 2009-05-04 21:36:00 Got some friends with a F&P dish drawer model, it's very well designed, very quiet and easy to use and does a great job...

...it will probably break now. :xmouth:

770890 2009-05-04 22:05:00 Our dishwasher is a Fisher & Paykel (quite an old one though). It made odd sounds this morning, and sometimes it forgets the door is shut. :stare: pcuser42 (130)
