My wife & I both received an email saying that they are closing from tomorrow and all the domains are being moved to Enlighten Domains. Did anyone else get this? I think it is a hoax as there is nothing on the Simplydomains website about it. Also the email address that it came from is not even a ...@simplydomains.co.nz one. I have tried contacting Simplydomains but they have not replied to any emails yet. |

I wouldn't surprise me if it was legit, becuase I don't know how these companies can make money by offering services so cheaply. They are just not sustainable, and it is not as though they are a major player. They have to rely on a high volume of new customers on a constant base, which in this economic climate is difficult. They are offering to the lower priced end of the market, which is a very tough markt to be in. See what happened to C1 Computers. Also it looks like they have closed their website hosting service as per this announcement http://www.simplyhosting.co.nz/ It is pretty slack that they havn't given you much notice. You could contact the Domain Name Commissioners website, at www.dnc.org.nz to clarify whther it is infact true, and how you can transfer to another provider. |

All domain names have been transfered to Enlighten Domains I hae found a lot of these doman companies that offer domains for such a low price, are either making no profit, or doing it as a loss leader to get new cutomers to get these customes to signup to other services. |
