I have (like I said) this album by Hank Williams III, and just wanted to try the MP3/Vid conversion downloader for Linux . 1450025	2018-05-29 06:08:00	You have this album but you are trying to download something that downloads YouTube videos and converts them to mp3 or a different video format? Sounds like you just want CD Ripping software. Sound Juicer use to be default with Ubuntu so that should be available in the repository and is easy to use. If you don't want to install anything extra Mint does come with VLC Player which can also rip CDs. Also quite possible the music player it has also would have that ability. I am not sure what Mint uses, Brasero or RhythmBox.	Kame (312)
1450026	2018-05-29 06:27:00	I've a;ways stayed away from VLC as it looks simple and dumb. But I'll go negotiate a truce with it and try it again. My favorite (in Win-XP) was Audacity - but somehow Linux doesn't play nicely with it. But - yeah - I want to have the ability to copy the audio off a YT vid for my own purposes. 1450027	2018-05-29 08:45:00	There's browser extensions that can do this. VLC may look simple but it's actually complex if you dive deeper into it. You could use audacity but you may need additional codecs to support other formats like converting to mp3, if it's just for your own use on the computer, ogg vorbis or flac be supported formats that won't require any additional work. 1450028	2018-05-29 10:07:00	No, it's just following the redirects (302 code) to where the stuff is currently stored, either b/c it has been moved, or just some load balancing magic. You seem to have it installed, you just need to feed it a proper set of options and a url. Not sure if your first failure was just that the (meta)data format it was expecting (from yt) has changed. This is a constant problem with these tyoes of things as yt and such would much prefer you to supply your tracking data and view the ad's via a browser, so generally go out of their way to break such scripts as often as possible.	fred_fish (15241)
