1448514 2018-04-17 09:32:00 I was going to backup my Win10 desktop (ASUS M5A78L/USB3) only to discover that both USB3 ports at the rear of my desktop no longer work. USB2 ports are perfectly OK.

I have checked the Device Manager and all looks OK - no evidence that the USB is faulty.

I checked Microsoft's help for USB and it could not find fault. Last time I used the USB3 would have been about 3 weeks ago, all fine then.

Is it possible that the latest Cumulative update has affected this? Anyone have any ideas please?

Grandson tells me his little friend this afternoon played at turning the PC off then on then off then on. Maybe that was the problem but all now seems well.

1448517 2018-04-17 22:19:00 it could simply be power save on USB3 . Restarting the PC ~re-starts~ them 1101 (13337)
1448518 2018-04-23 00:36:00 Further to all the above, I still have this problem. MS and ASUS have not been helpful. USB2 works well just not USB3 and there seems to be no ASUS drivers available for Windows 10 USB3. Bryan (147)
1448519 2018-04-23 02:04:00 That's weird, maybe windows 10 already has the driver. There is a windows 8.1 driver that might work though if it is just a driver issue.
