1447876 2018-03-30 16:04:00 I downloaded a 14 days trial of malwarebytes and now they want me to upgrade for 1 PC for 1 Year for $39. Why should I do that when I can go to amazon and buy the same thing but for 3 PC for 1 year for $39? Also why would I want to buy a product when I can't even call them? lostsoul62 (16011)

Malwarebytes used to be a good product but like a lot of them they remove the free basic Versions and the product its self doesn't work as good as it used to.

re the Amazon -- How do you know its not actually fake ?

Bit like the scams that people get suckered into, they allow people into the computers install a lifetime License of Malwarebytes ( that hasn't been available since 2014 and discontinued by Malwarebytes) totally illegal, and charge them $500.
I know it happens, as one of my customers rang up once saying they had told him his computer was full of infection (it wasn't) they had shown him ( yeah right) they are very convincing and scammed him out of $500. The license key could be easily found on a search. I told him what to do, but he wouldn't listen ( cant help some people).
A Few days later they had taken out another $300 from his bank account, he called them on some number they had given him, they said that was for extra work they were doing on his computer remotely over night. They claimed they could work on it even though it was turned off fully. ( The person also turns off his router every night) He still wouldn't listen that they were scammers.

From memory, down in the bottom right corner there should be an option like turn off free premium trial, or use free only.
