1449841 2018-05-24 02:18:00 totally confused..................

suggestions for the best simple method ? time is not a problem............. $$$ maybe the problem.

its to be used on a veon tv.

Some of the all in one programs to do this are riddled with adware/spyware
Perhaps that one mentioned above .

Ive never used this software myself (below) , Its been many years since Ive ripped DVD's . It was mentioned above
www.giveawayoftheday.com

or this ?
https://handbrake.fr/

What you want is an all in one software DVD converter/ripper . Its a matter of finding the converter software thats easy to use

1449844 2018-05-24 07:55:00 I have used DVD shrink in the past to convert an old no longer available DVD to my computer. Yes I still own the DVD, no I didn't want it to in the house as no room for anything extra in this tiny house most of our belongings are in storage until we build hence ripping all my CD's and our DVD's. gary67 (56)
1449845 2018-05-25 23:14:00 It's some years since I bought any DVDs, but when I did, I was using DVD Fab to rip them (rip meaning to extract the video files and unscramble the encryption). Unless you're storing on something limited like a thumb drive, then you really don't have to care that each DVD might give the equivalent of a 4GB set of files. I just extract the equivalent MPG files, and don't give a stuff about re-encoding to a more compact format.

My old DVD Fab did what I wanted from the free version. Handbrake is a bit confusing to get to grips with the interface. Super used to be very good for any re-encoding, but is now totally laced with adware and unwanted dross, and I now advise people not to touch it.

1449846 2018-05-27 01:31:00 Oh my god. Just use YouTube, 90% of what you want is on there. The time and effort required to rip all those DVDs. Is a big time waster. plod (107)

1449848 2018-05-27 08:48:00 How will you tube help me?:waughh:Pretty much whatever you want to watch is on it as far as kids programs or Netflix’s plod (107)
1449849 2018-05-27 10:02:00 on a tablet yes maybe, but not a tv in a kids room with no internet or anything to play it on, i have a hard drive an plenty of dvds an lots of time spare....

So while the suggestion is good, we have limited space and budget, and a toddler that wrecks things and climbs everything possible....... so a xbox or decoder to play something on in there room is just not possible, a small hard drive is easy to hide on the back of a tv.

:)
Thanks

1449850 2018-05-27 20:26:00 Have a look at putting a Chrome Cast device on the kids room TV. You could then send anything to it :) CliveM (6007)
