| 1449892 | 2018-05-26 05:47:00 | I have the radio on all day and could not do without my daily dose of music. I only turn it off when it is time for the TV news at 5.30. My favourite station is Magic because it plays the music I was brought up on - the 50s, 60s and 70s. I have always believed that music is good for you and cannot understand how anyone can be indifferent to music. It does not matter what type of music you like as long as you have an interest in some sort of music. It has to be beneficial.:) |

| 1449896 | 2018-05-26 07:54:00 | I've been a fan of Coast for quite a few years, but lately they've lost favour with me. They play Shannon Noll's "What About Me" at least 3-4 times a week (that I've heard), and they've been saturating with Abba since March. When they first doing that, I assumed they were trading with the local stage show production of "Mamma Mia" for tickets. But no, they continue with their overkill. (And I'm an Abba, and a Mamma Mia fan!) Coast's talk hosts present click bait items from either the Herald or Stuff as trending news, sometimes stale "news" at that. I'll try Magic. |

| 1449898 | 2018-05-26 22:00:00 | This was not meant to be a thread on your favourite radio station but a thread on the benefit of music in your life no matter what type of music you like. I'd rather hear about what type of music you like and how important that music is in your life. Piroska got it right. Personally, I like most types of music, sixties pop in particular with a smattering of classical. I could not do without my daily dose of music. I was brought up - from the early fifties - with the radio playing all the time so I was given a good dose of music appreciation at an early age. |

I mostly enjoy the music I was brought up with. My decade was the sixties when I was an impressionable teenager although I enjoy forties and fifties as well. My favourite is The Beatles along with Chicago and Blood Sweat and Tears. |

BeeGees, Beatles, Neil Diamond, PP&M, Simon & Garfunkle, Dylan, Dionne Warwick, Carpenters, a lot of classical et al.. from those years, all ripped to FLAC. I have a 5 year old, 32GB Sony player (the Android version) and some good quality BT Sony over ear phone's. Love my music! I have a playlist with about 500 of my favourites and I just play them from beginning to end then start again. Never get sick of them. Ken :) |
